You don't need a lot of people, just a few who can value and appreciate you for who you are.

Why is it sometimes that the people you love are the ones that appreciate you the least? Unfortunately, people don't really appreciate what they have until it's gone. So many people take things for granted. Even simple every day things, like water and electricity.

Should I feel so guilty taking a compliment? Agreeing when someone acknowledges things about me? Filled with happiness when I'm being appreciated or valued? And not just lumped in with everyone else, carefully distinguished from the rest. Because you've made me feel guilty and like I'm not worth anything. And if the one you love doesn't appreciate you, then it doesn't really matter.

The line between confidence and cockiness is thin, but you have to find that balance. And be able to tell the difference.

You must learn to properly distinguish things. They teach us this as early as kindergarten when we're sorting shapes and colors. Exceptions in nature like The Seven Wonders Of The World wouldn't be properly admired if people couldn't properly distinguish things. But we are able to distinguish these things from each other because of certain objective characteristics that stand out and people can all acknowledge and agree on that they are extraordinary. Like Mt. Everest, for example. The grand majestic work of nature that stands out from all the other mountains.
